Following a £2m enhancement today the mayor officially opened Windermere, for the last 6 months Windermere as undergone a complete enhancement complete with cobble stones traditional lighting, new benches and flower displays, the event today concluded 6 months of work in Windermere with a carnival atmosphere with street entertainment included brass band and street acts with most shops and business participating,the day was very popular with children and families and the enhancements have certainly put Windermere at the forefront of Uk tourist attractions.
